Flashing Lights "Machine Guns" for war birds

Building my first war bird. A FT Mini Corsair. I keep thinking, "Wouldn't it be cool if I could mount lights in the wings to simulate the six 50 caliber machine guns that the Corsair had in its wings!.

Flip a switch on the radio and the lights would flash to simulate guns firing. Does anyone know of a product or anyone tinker with electronics that could make one?

For extra LEDs, I'm sure you could splice the negatives together, then power positive with a BEC or 2S battery. Alternatively, you can run fiber-optic cables from the LED to where you want the flash to come out and melt one end of the tube to a bulb, so it'd disperse evenly.
