HK - Volantex ASW28 2.6m

Gone with the Mistral
After nearly one year with my 2.6m ASW28 (HK - Volantex), here is my point of view:
- original CG is way too forward.
- doesn't like 4S battery and high temp days.
- 3S battery gives enough power (3/4 thr) for a 'flat' launch.
- top speed is limited. (overall drag?) mods I think doing for next spring: aileron gap sealing, servos covering...
- wings too flexible (kind of funny, but not efficient). Not fixed yet, thinking I will apply some laminate film.
- can handle weight (big batteries, fpv gear...) and wind, still have to test it on a slope.
- really nice 'scale' look in flight.
- need some speed, not a floater as a 'radian-like', not a good idea as a first plane.
- no sharp aerobatics, but loop and barel roll are okay.
- 120Eu/$ motor + esc, 6x servos included, quite good product for the price : one servo gave up after 3 flights, ESC is rated 4S but...

Excellent review! :applause:

You have done something in your review video that no one else does, uninterrupted hand launch and land circuit. This should be the new must perform standard maneuver in every plane review!

Bravo!
