My flying club, the Charles River Radio Controllers (CRRC) were asked if we could help out at an open house day at the Marlborough Airport. It was mostly a Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) demo day, but we were happy to help out. One of our members is a hobby store proprietor who's been super supportive of all our outreach efforts and he brought his standard RealFlight RC simulator setup with a large screen TV.

It was a hit, as usual, with a steady line of kids wanting to fly RC in a safe and fun environment.

Members with fancy 3D heli's brought both their gas and electric powered helis and wowed the crowd with their acrobatic displays in between full scale helicopter rides.

It was quite fun to see a Lifeflight EC145 fly in, land, and offer ground tours -- the EC135 is one of the coolest helicopters in my mind, and I'm fascinated by the even newer EC145.

I didn't fly, but it was fun watching the other RC pilots fly in concert with the full scale aviation demos.
