Looking good Griff. I would suggest assembling it, then taping all your gear on the out side to check where it would need to be for proper cg. then hollow out.

That looks awesome Griff! That is one technique I want to try one of these days.

As far as hollowing out the fuse, maybe first cut a hatch area off of the top of the fuse then use something like dremel or router to hollow out a cavity into the area below the hatch?

Either way, keep up the great work.

More progress!
I hollowed out the fuse I started by hot wire cutting the hatch. Then I used a drill press to get rid of most of the foam. Next I sanded down the sides and glued a thin piece of DTFB to the bottom so I would now that when I put down some velcro for the battery, it would have a good joint. Then I glued the wing on. right now the tail feathers are just set in place...for now.

I also found out that the rear fuse is a little flimsy so I'm going to be putting a spar along the bottom.
