Puffed Battery Bad??

So a puffy Lipo is bad. We know this. And bad Lipos can catch fire. But what is it about a Lipo fire that is so double bad? When Lithium catches fire it does this...

So along with going crazy flammable it puffs out in an enclosed space of the battery... BOOM!
