Very happy to finally post about RC Plane 3, third chapter of our RC Plane series bringing a ton of new features and improvements.

First official TRAILER !

Can't yet share too many details, but among the main features :
- HUGE scenario technology, first map is 6km x 6km to explore at RC Scale, inspired by a real world location, but adapted to become an RC Plane heaven :)
- Realistic physics . Among the most advanced plane simulations.
- RC planes and multicopters
- Full day night cycle with scenario reacting accordingly
- Unlock airstrips across the scenario in free flight
- Many game modes
- A completely new base for RC Plane to grow on, new scenarios and game modes will come trough updates as for RC Plane 2, but with way more possibilities thanks to new tech.
- Multiplayer
- Flaps, retractable landing gears and more.....
- Much more...

Game is still under development and should be ready very soon. BUT as with RC Plane 2 we are going to continue expanding the game for years to come so we would love all possible feedback to make always better and create always new and compelling game modes.
With RC Plane 3 we plan to finally debut on PC and Mac too, and we are starting to collect beta testers, so if interested PM or email me (info@frozenpepper.it)

While previous title where more "arcadish" in the flight simulation , with RC Plane 3 we went all in with realism, and simulate plane avionics to obtain a more easy experience for new comers.

Great thanks for your time !

Looks great! I think this would be great with multiplayer, but I understand complexity that goes into it, but maybe just an AI combat or something. I would love to fly wingtip to wingtip with another player though.
Oh, there is multiplayer...

Looks great. I've had loads of fun with RCP2, so this looks like a pretty good upgrade. Will it run on a 4th gen Ipod, or will I need to use something else? I have a relatively new android os phone, will it run on that?

Unfortunately no.... It won't run on iPod touch 4th generation. Requirements start with the iPhone 5 and iPad 4, iPod touch 6th gen. While a little bit extreme as requirements, this allowed us to have a "future proof" engine that can grow a lot and allows us a ton freedom in game mode and scenario creation.
We plan and android version at beginning of 2016 (maybe even very very late 2015) but can't yet speak of device requirements.
Pc and Mac version should instead be released soon after iOs version.

I think this would be great with multiplayer,
We love multiplier and have a solid multiplayer engine, BUT game will release without multiplayer, which will come with first update bringing 4 / 8 players air duels, multiplayer free flight and multiplayer air races !
In general expect an extremely better multiplayer experience compared to RC Plane 2 allowing us to have many more players and game modes in it. (Team deathmatch are in the works, as well as bomber / escort based game modes)
We are not able to have it a release because we want to refine our matchmaking system (since we are not using GameCenter for multiplayer). (Multiplayer update should make it before Christmas)

Great thanks again for the feedback !

When I try to play the trailer, it says "An error occurred."

I would love to beta test this. Can it work on Android yet? If not, I just need to get a USB cable for my TX right?

Fixed video, thanks for pointing it out.

RC Plane was born on iOs, so iOs will be the first platform we will release the game on. Work on Android port is already going on, but unfortunately can't commit to a precise date.
Pc and Mac versions are coming too but unfortunately can't commit to a date either...

Email us at beta@frozenpepper.it with "RC Plane 3 beta " + "wanted platform name" as a subject , please include the device / platform you would like to test on and we will get back to you as soon as possible with info about beta program.

Thanks for the feedback !

Happy to write that RC Plane 3 is available on the AppStore for download !
AppStore Link

We had more issues than expected at launch, with some devices not being recognised by the game, but by now all main issues should have been solved, and we even had time to complete the first MULTIPLAYER game modes for the game.
You can now dogfight with other 5 players in a team death-match game mode ! (or enjoy some 6 players free flight).

We will very much appreciate any kind of feedback as we are continuously improving and adding game modes and vehicles to the game, so any suggestion is more than welcomed.

I checked out the game, all available free game modes and all free planes. Its pretty cool. Very unforgiving, which I like. I played on an iPhone 6s, standard size screen.

I found the gate racing challenging, requiring very slight aileron control, clearing the levels mostly with rudder and only slight elevator in Pro flight mode (no stabilization).

The Coin Rodeo is almost too challenging to be fun. After several tries I scored in the 80,000 mark, which is about 80 coins.

I'm not crazy about the flight characteristics of the Stunner (biplane). Its pretty agile, but climbs terribly under power. While I was able to trim it out with the nice trim controls, the trim reset after every level and gives almost no time to reset the trim to fly level under power. Even still, I managed to have fun with it and finish a lot of the races.

One other thing that was annoying, the control sticks seem to have an absolute position vs relative - meaning you have to place your thumbs directly on the correct spot on the screen instead of the sticks remaining neutral as you place your fingers on the screen and taking input from there. This caused me to veer wildly into the ground or obstacles many times. Perhaps there's a setting I didn't find.

My last criticism, I like to fly LOS in freeflight, but on a phone screen, even the stationary zoom camera is too far away to be useful. Perhaps make a closer stationery camera or toggle phone/tablet mode.

Overall, a lot of fun, but needs some work. Thanks for sharing!

Does this really translate well into actual flying if you buy the bind in software? Might be worth the price if I can save a lifetime of broken planes...

Huge thanks for the very detailed feedback !!!
We will take it in to great consideration and will work immediately on trim as there appears to be a bug as the game should store and use you trim values on a "per plane" basis, so it should not reset. An update will be available very soon.

About Coin Rodeo, we could make the coins in the first rodeo larger making it easier.

I loved RC Plane 2, but the in-app purchases were just sort of over-the-top expensive. I'd rather pay for a full price game than a $20 in-app purchase total. Also, no support for the latest iPod?! Kinda dissapointed about that... it can run games I'm sure that are way bigger than RCP3.

Sorry for the late reply, must have missed the notification.
We had many issues with iPod 6th gen (none of our beta testers had one nor we could find a tester with one) but should have finally found the issue with it and next update should finally support it. (Apple identifies it as iPod7 instead of iPod6 as we would have expected, so game was failing to recognise it as a supported device).

Happy to write that we have finally release an open alpha of RC Plane 3 for Mac and Windows you can get it here : LINK
And here are some first screenshots from the Mac/Windows alpha version

And in case you missed the news, you can fly with your friends in multiplayer ! (Free Flight and Team death-macth for the moment)

i played the original rc plane game on my ipod touch version 2 way back 7 years ago and now have rediscovered this series of games. i downloaded rc plane 3 on my iphone 5s and it looked promising. downloading it on steam on my laptop now. hopefully it supports the taranis q x7. for anyone wondering if this will work as a simulator to practice realistic flying, the answer is no. to me, at least, it felt very much like a game, not a realistic simulator. i recommend PicaSim as a good realistic simulator if that is what you need. it works with my qx7 and its free (donations are encouraged though).
