Super late to this discussion but i had the same problem with my cub. Its my first scratch build and i went to great lengths to make sure ALL of my flight surfaces were square. And after all that upon hand launch it banked pretty hard to port and crashed about 50ft away. I tried tweaking rudder and aileron trim but after 2 more crashes i decided to retire the airframe assuming i had messed up big somewhere. I did some research and learned about thrust affects.
