Taranis wont power TBS Crossfire Module

Hey guys I seem to be unable to get my Taranis X9D+ to power my TBS Crossfire Micro module. I have plugged it in the back of the radio securely and even wiggled it around and still the light on the back of the crossfire does not turn on.I have disabled the internal RF and changed the external RF to crossfire. I have also updated the crossfire firmware to the latest available and my Taranis is running open tx 2.2.1 (cca71808).

When I go into the SD card and try to execute crossfire.lua it just says 'waiting for crossfire devices". My radio battery is the included Taranis NiMH reading 7.8V. Included in the crossfire box was a small pcb with 4 holes for GND, 3.3V, In, Out however I am not sure what this is meant to be used for (see attached). Am I missing something? Is my Taranis external module capability defective?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I once had the same problem with a Tx module. It turned out the Tx pins were missing the socket. With the module installed, I took back of the module and could see the pins were going between the socket & case. The pins were in open air. Once I slightly adjusted the pins to go in the socket, the module came to life.
