DX6e ESC calibration

After watching the connecting the electronics article, I attempted to calibrate the ESC to my new DX6e but was stopped every time with the throttle error message. I checked the owners manual for ESC calibrating but no section on this was seen. Is there a special way to do this calibration?

You mean the transmitter was giving an error? You can start up the Tx with zero throttle, just as long as it's at full when you plug the battery into the ESC.
