@Wildthing - the CG line travels through the wing at 30% of the chord - if you use the 30% mark at the chord root and chord tip, then use the sweep of the TE (aileron) to make the curve it will define the CG line through the wing rather well - let me know if this does not make sense!

attached is an A1 PDF @100% with a CG line cut into the wing!

Wings are cut, added a 3mm cf strip to each 1/2 for a little extra strength. Glued the wing plates together using 3M Super 77 spray adhesive so we will see how that goes.

No vacuum sealer used, just some Coke :)

Wings are coming together. I hot wired the taper and then a little sanding for now, I may still use the iron to take down the TE a little further which will make it a little stronger. Also added a balsa LE for the heck of it.

Question, are you cutting in ailerons or just going with elevator and rudder ?

@Wildthing - seriously nice I have to say! I will be cutting the ailerons as I am going four servos on mine! (I am on the road this week so you look like you will be well ahead shortly)!

It looks like you added the tapers post glueing - I tapered then glued the tapers together - no right and wrong here just innovation!

Yes, laminated the plates together first that way if you are out of alignment even a bit you can sand or trim the edges to match.

Another quick sanding to the LE now , wings look not to bad. As is they weigh in at 40gr and 41gr so one needs a tad more sanding :)

I am debating whether or not they need ailerons, more weight ;) @flyboa what is your thought?

I am also debating if I should use iron on covering, more weight but it also will add some good strength . If you paint or use packing tape you are adding weight anyways.

I will be at a standstill shortly until the arrow shafts show up. I also have to locate a micro rx for my FlySky TH9X , I am sure my 6 channel ones are going to be to big.

@Wildthing wing looks very nice, and light. I like ailerons on my 1.5m. if you don't go with them and want to keep the plane light make sure you increase the dihedral to around 12 to 15 degrees.
Well by bracesport he has 13 degree dihedral. How large are your ailerons? Also for the vertical and horizontal I have 3/32 or 2.4mm balsa but I think I read somewhere you said 1/8 ".
Boy that is thin, I will probably break them just loading into the truck 😆. I am thinking of using iron on covering for them also plus besides some UHU Por they will act as the hinges.

@Wildthing - let me know the size of your CF spars when they arrive and I will adjust the 3D printed parts to accommodate them! The ailerons in the plan are 50mm.

Ok so cut the vertical and horizontal out and I am going to try the iron on covering as the hinge. Edge beveled as normal , then a little bead of UHU Por as reinforcement and then iron on the covering.
