Sorry to correct you there old boy, but technically a group of planes is a squadron - your still in boat/ship mode with fleet.

However, prior to the British RAF being formed on the 1st of April 1918 and becoming an independant force. The previous airforce was part of the British Navy so you could technically still be correct .

It's hard for me to call it a squadron. A squadron is a a specific fighting unit, a specific division of a larger force, right? I mean, if I see a bunch of soldiers I don't automatically call them a squad or a platoon or a company... (?)
