The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") is a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju 87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War and served the Axis forces in World War II. The skins depicted are Hans-Ulrich Rudel’s "Kanonen Vogel" and Lt. Heinz-Georg Migeod 1942 Libya desert colored Stuka. The "Kanonen Vogel" includes skins for the 37mm Flak gun pods. Files for both with and without swastikas versions are available. File names ending with a “W” have the swastikas. An optional canopy can be found in the letter sized PDF named “MiniacRC MM JU87 Optional Canopy”

Hans-Ulrich Rudel (2 July 1916 – 18 December 1982) was a German ground-attack pilot during World War II. Rudel was the most decorated German serviceman of World War II, being the sole recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds in January 1945. Post-war, he was a prominent neo-Nazi activist in Latin America and West Germany.

An amazing story out of the second world war is of two former enemies who became close friends. They met in the skies of North Africa.. Heinz-Georg Wilhelm Migeod (February 24,1918 - November 18, 2010) was a Stuka pilot who was shot down in Libya, 11/11/1942 by SAAF fighter pilot DB “Hoefie” Hauptfleisch. After the war Heinz relocated to South Africa where he met Hoefie and they became good friends. Hoefie passed away in 2009 and Heinz in 2010. Heinz once said that the incident on 11 Nov 1942 was very funny: “a German of French descent was shot down by a South African from German descent in an African country occupied by Italy”. You can also download and build Hauptfleisch's P40 and reenact that fateful day in 1942!
