Before the sudden demise of my Zero built from localfiends plans, I was real happy with how it flew. I finished up a replacement last night, added flaps, and gear to keep the cowl in one piece during landings. Hopefully it will get a maiden soon. This is my first build with flaps and am looking forward to see how they work.

I don't know the exact characteristics of flaps on low wing planes but usually you end up pitching up when they are on since the center of "thrust" from the flaps is off of the center of mass and your lift changes etc. I would mix in a little bit of down elevator and try out the flaps up high first just to avoid any chance of stalling and crashing.
