10 channel 7A receiver

I’m looking to get the new 6S Freewing F22 but it has a 7A UBEC, I have a FSI6X and another receiver that is dsmx/dsm2 compatible but the FSIA6B and 10B that I have are only good for 2A so I can’t use those.
I’ve looked online and found a few spektrum ones (although very steeply priced) and some with a gyro which would be very nice but I don’t know if they work for 7A or not and some are quite pricey.

Are there any you would particularly recommend? I’m UK based but I can probably find whatever it is in the UK anyways somehow.

I’m not aware of any 2a limit on the FS-IA6B. You may have confused the protocol, “AFHDS 2A“ with amps, but it’s not related. The BEC can provide up to 7a, but that is dependent on the device drawing the amps. It’s not like Volts where the source determines the volts and can burn things out. For example, you could hook your ESC up to a car battery that is capable of providing 500amps and it will work just fine. It might be a little heavy though. 🙂

Oh right, because I had a 7A ESC/BEC hooked up and when I plugged in a battery to the ESC there was a popping sound and now my receiver doesn’t work so I thought there was a limit.

reason that popped could be that the 7A ESC couldnt take any 6S battery. All ESC´s are determined in max voltage use (check specs) mainly noted on it.

I’m not sure about that because the ESC worked fine afterwards and I flew it fine (made a whole yt video with it) but i had to use a receiver pack.
The esc in question was a 100A Kaban (I think that’s the name of the brand) 6S ESC so it was rated for it but I’ll have a look into the specs anyways.

aha, the 100A Kaban ESC have specs of Input voltage 3-6S LiPo, and a Switched UBEC 5V/7A. So better check for bad connections to ensure isnt problems

The pop may have just been a normal sound. Whenever I plug in a 6s, it makes a pop at the connection the first time I plug it in. I think it’s charging the capacitors on the ESC, so there’s a burst of amps. I think you’re hearing the arcing.

Ok then I’ll just give it a shot with the FSIA10B and if it doesn’t work I’ll figure smth out.
