Just finished with 13th Squadron's first production kit. What a treat! Their Me-109e is perfect sized for smaller field flying. If you've never built one of their planes before, you should know that Jack and Steve Niezgoda do amazing things with foamboard.

Next its on to painting!

This is awesome!!!!! Thank you @CrshNBrn! I am very happy that everything looks like it went together well making it a great looking build! I have never flown with the "no cannon" spinner so it is cool to see that look on the build. What did you think of the build/the snap motor mount?

The build was straightforward- your video really helped. Even though I've built a ton of these over the years, its always good to pick up new techniques. I also thought your dad's painting/finishing video was really helpful, too. I wasn't able to download the "cannon spinner" from Thingiverse, so I used the other one- no worries. I also didn't use the wheel well, but did print up the machine guns and cannons.

As for your snap mount, it seems much more solid than the standard foamboard/firewall interface. You've identified a weak area in the traditional foamboard motor mounting setup- while I haven't flown it yet, I'm impressed by how more durable it seems.

Amazing to hear, thank you once again for purchasing a kit! I will of course let my dad know that his work didn't go unnoticed. I can't wait to see the finished result because juts the preliminary painting photos look great!

I actually went ahead and fixed that "cannon spinner" file just a day or two ago so it should be downloadable now. So if you really want that version it is up now.

Just maidened it this morning- unfortunately I wasn't able to get any footage of the flight, but it went very smoothly once I adjusted the trim. Second flight launched out of my hand with ease- none of the classic bad habits of an Me-109. It's flies like a chill 3S beginner warbird should. The details that 13 Squadron has added to their airframe make it worth building.

Simply amazing to hear! I am very glad to hear that everything went well and flies with ease. Both my Father and I thank you very much for not only purchasing a kit, but also building, painting, posting, and flying our first kit! It definitely means a lot. Now I have I have two things to do, work on the next kit for you, and share another one of your planes to the community page ha!
