Help! 13th Squadron's P-47

How dose it fly?
And how many sheets of foam dose it take?

i spent the past few weeks building one at 142% to get close to a 60 inch wingspan. i had issues getting skins to fit but after i found they weren't lining up with my frame i just cut them oversized and trimmed to fit.

other than that its pretty true to plans. i did remove paper from both sides of the skins before i covered them. i added blocks of insulation foam in the wings and glued in plastic drywall anchors for landing gear attachment points.

i also adapted it to have removable wing. the wing has two blocks of pink foam glued to wood spars that fit inside the fuse to line up wing and prevent rotation.

it's grossly overpowered and 6s capable. i'm hoping 4s will be adequate but if it needs more power, it's available.

4.5 lbs auw. haven't fully charged batteries yet to test power output but i'm confident it has enough.

now i just need the foot of snow we got this weekend to melt so i can see if it flies.

unfortunately i haven't flown it yet. weather here has t been exactly conducive to flying but im hoping to soon

what motor are ya using???

it has a 4250 value hobby motor, which means it's not as big as it sounds because they go by outside dimensions. regardless it should be more than enough. i actually thought i would need to downsize to get it to balance but i think its good with the battery close to cg.

i just loaded it in my truck. i own a storage facility so i try to bring planes here when i dont think ill fly them anytime soon so its not so obvious to my wife how many planes i have! but weather is improving so hopefully i get a chance to maiden it soon.
