Hello all been building this for the last week or so on and off I just hope it flys when the time comes any tips would be appreciated. I take it it's the same as flying the smaller one.
Excellent work!
What are the specs in terms of power and weight?
It's simple once you have the plans taped up and adjustments made it's easier to build than the small one really and have seen your spit very niceLove the regular one i did mine not to long ago and im thinking about making on like that but im not sure how to.
I built a 125% Spitfire a few months ago. Yours looks MUCH better.
Here it it's next to my normal mustang for scale, before paint that is.

I can't relate to how it flys in comparison to the regular spitfire but I can say it flys awesome. SUPER gentle and surprisingly easy. I ended up having to turn the elevator and rudder rates to about 80% with 30% expo and had to do about 150% rates on the ailerons. I didnt reinforce the spare like you did, mines built exactly like the stock spit but I added some paint stirring sticks to the middle of the spar. But that's it. Really low wing loading. It pretty much floats in the air at low speed making landing harder. Basically it's hard to flair it in while landing because it has so much lift it just keeps going.
Its got a Grand Turbo GT 2820/07 motor

This motor is discontinued but can still be found on sites like eBay. On a 3s 2200 with a 12x6 prop it has unlimited vertical at 75% throttle. Zero to full speed in 2 seconds. Lol
Anyway, I bet yours flys great. You look as if this isn't your first rodeo. Lol
Since yours has that AWESOME cockpit do you plan on putting a pilot in it? Like a GI Joe or something? I may have to do a clear cockpit in my next build like yours!

Have no servos in yet I was going to start with 9gram and see how it works its all new to me. My theory was they work on the 540 edge at speed and I only want to potter aboutWhat servos are you using id guess there not 9 gram.
No just a bit of wire rx will be as far back out the way as I can get it tho. Your spitfire is very nice I like the shiny finishIs the wire in the cockpit that the harness is strapped to behind the seat your antenna?
I use MG90 servos. Can be found on eBay, banggood, and even Amazon. They are regular 9 gram servos with metal gears. They have zero issue on my 125% spitfire. What servos are you using id guess there not 9 gram.
Thanks I dident want it getting scratched up easy and I wanted it to look good so I used a spray paint glossy clear coat on it.No just a bit of wire rx will be as far back out the way as I can get it tho. Your spitfire is very nice I like the shiny finish
ok do you know what the wingspan is in mm. for 125% and if you know 150%.I use MG90 servos. Can be found on eBay, banggood, and even Amazon. They are regular 9 gram servos with metal gears. They have zero issue on my 125% spitfire.
My 125% spitfires wingspan is roughly 1350mm. So if you correctly upscaled yours to 150% it should be 1620mm. The original FT Spitfires wingspan is 1080mm Just so you have all the numbers. Quite a bit bigger when you look at the exact numbers. Lolok do you know what the wingspan is in mm. for 125% and if you know 150%.
