Primer is on. Now to decide on a paint scheme. It has gotten pretty cold around these parts so the project is slowing down.

I have not used a primer coat on laminating film. How's the adhesion? Have you done a scratch test?

Seems to be good, but haven't done a scratch test yet. Prep was wipe down with 70% Iso, rough the surface with 400 grit, and re-wipe with 70% Iso. Seemed to work fine, but time will tell.

Long time with no work done. Seeing spring around the corner had to do something. Didn't turn out great but good enough to thrash, which is sort of the plan.

Thanks for the kind words. Here it is ready for maiden. I just did ground testing in front of my house. The first damage already done - rear skeg ripped right off during a quick hop to check trims etc. lol. Had to happen sooner or later.
Porky at 13 oz w/ 850 3s. 10oz/sqft- 9 wcl. Should be fun if it survives.
Also the ground loops are brutal. Going to be a good learning tool for a light touch on the rudder.

Post maiden. 2xQuick out and back into the corn field at the end of my street. Nailed the second landing. Seems to have nice manners, but time will tell. 😊
Hopefully it warms up soon and I can get some real testing in.
