Other than the 2" wingspan difference, There appears to be only slight differences in these two. It appears that more attention is being paid to lightening on the smaller airframe, which should help if you plan on using it for 3-D. Either plane looks like a blast though.

I don't have any personal experience with either airframe but I must say that the price is very reasonable for a 30cc class. The reviews are good too.

What engine are you planning to go with?

yup, just looks like one is slightly (and I do mean slightly) smaller.

I was going to go with a cheap copy of the DLE30 (planes a copy might as well go with the theme) but my issue at the moment is that my flying club has a noise limit of 80db...most DLE30s come in at 90DB so this is on hold at the moment...i could go electric but im starting to feel if the lipo is over 3s 2200 is should be run on fuel

You could go with a large four stroke, that would be a little more quiet than a two stroke.

I have had the same motor dle30 and what I did was to take a aerosol deodorant can and jb welded it to the exhaust stinger and drilled a few holes in the other end and then it became a silencer,, it lowered the db by 20 and had no power penalties
