Wow it looks like the prop & motor are only mounted on that little bit of foam power pod? Wouldn't it vibrate/wobble around? There must be more support than what I can see.
Yeah its a mighty mini power pod sized up but instead of gluing the firewall to the front its slotted into the front and the back of the pod has tabs that slot into the second former from the front and the whole thing glued to the platform that it sits on. Still two side formers and a top one and that is probably overkill but rather err on the side of strong than weak

U making me want to put pants on mine. Fiberglass Specialties has the Cub pants for the 1.4 scale. Hmmm?
This plane wouldn't look right without the pants and the scoop under the cowl. I think the 3d printer thing was a good purchase , we'll see but from what I have researched it didn't seem like a bad choice , for me it came down to ease of assembly , pretty comparable to the Creality Ender 3 but way easier to put together .

I am gettting an order of foamboard from amazon, so I may be able to make another cub, but It probably won't be done by the deadline. If You could extend the deadline that would be amazing.

It may look like it, but this is not a Super Cub.
It is a Alvin Musser clipped wing with modified with an insane 150HP inverted gas and oil engine. Right now I feel like I am in the home stretch. I Pretty much everything is done, all parts R dry fitted and have a good idea on where to put the battery tray for the CG. Now to do some putty on the balsa dings, prime and paint the metal parts and start covering. This is going to be all white with red trim. The yellow parts R butchered H9 cub parts.

I'll just let the pics speak for themselves, absolutely blown away with how good this skin worked out. Time for some Thanksgiving supper then back at it. View attachment 209475 View attachment 209476 View attachment 209477 View attachment 209478 View attachment 209479 View attachment 209480
