I am doing fairly well! life has been pushing me around some like the Van Buren boys, But mostly good for me, bad for my hobbies.

After being kicked in the pants with inspiration from Flite Fest 2025! I am ready to get this closed, and done. I also found a Noob Wonder kit I cut already, so I can move ahead being able to fulfill the promises I made for the challenge.

As I do each year, I want to thank everyone who participated, signed up and got in the "Build-ring" together. I know this alway seems SO simple a task, and yet every year, only a few manage to pass the deadline with 4 (or More) planes built and flown (documented). for those few, our hats are off to that accomplishment.
On first pass review, it appears as if only a few contestants in the running for the winner, I hope you can all forgive me some attempt at brevity to ensure this judgement was completed.

The Winner:
This year's winner goes to @Patriot Rc by a Nose!
Runner Up is @Mr Man
You both both completed 5 builds, one of which was a Master series, Painted and flew them (Mr. Man flew only 4). You each made great build logs, with commentaries, highlighting what you variations you chose, and you each wrote up the take aways. And wonderfully short but successful flight videos which highlight your successes. Congrat to Patriot RC to the extra flight, winning the coveted trophy, and Foam Wonder "Noob" prize:

My Takeaway:
It seems as if you all did exactly what the challenge was set to do. Gain comradery, and encourage and challenge each other to keep at it and grow in the Hobby.

What things should I start doing (things I should have done), what things should I Stop doing. Which things are must haves, good things to Continue doing next time.

Promising kits from a machine that you don't have working. Ghosting the Hobby after starting a contest! Beating myself up for having life happen.	Have contest signup open earlier - (October?) Set calendar alarms for deadlines. Have the prize packaged, ready for a label. See about granting a 1-month (Title) to the winners avatar Add Bonus for things like Fleet icons Pilots Build-night participation Community Bolstering?	Encouraging contestants to post progress Photos requiring color Offer Discord Build-Nights (does everyone have access to discord?)

Liking most of what I’m seeing here, Except that I know I’ll probably never be able to do the Build night participation, as I turn off all of my devices at 10:30, and start building around then soooo…. I don’t have access to Discord either….

But I’d be up for another one in October! But then it wouldn’t be “ruary”

Ad for me…

STOP: Starting projects and never finished them, staying up till 1:20 am (tee hee 😂), keeping planes white…. Over-spraying paint.
START: Making sure I have hot glue and foam…. Using Minwax, maybe try fiberglassing a plane?
CONTINUE: Flying fast, using massive motors, flying 3d, not crashing. Etc etc etc etc. 😂

Sorry i wasn't able to participate as much as I would have likd too....I think the next will be much different as I am on the mend! (I am still not sure whether I got lymes (I did get it before the antibiototic should have taken care of it...) but now I am wondering if maybe I got mono........)

START: posting more on the forum, practice flying my drone and airplanes more,

STOP: Crashing my planes from losing orientation, staying up until 5am+.....Snapping spray nozzles of "BRAND NEW" paint cans!
START: Flying FPV wings, fly bigger planes, upgrade to digital FPV.
CONTINUE: Building my YT channel, flying crazy fast builds, making cool warbirds!

Yeah I won't be able to do the build night or Discord...But I could probably do the October build raury.........Wish hunting season didn't peak right then though......Maybe a December to February?

The october things was just to start the announcement earlier, Still Build-ruary/February event time. This way we had more time to brow-beat... I mean persuade forum friends and fence-sitters to give it a try.

Regarding Discord, I'm always looking to find ways for us here to connect better, I am open to alternate ideas. Teams meeting?

Only problem with February is it's like 0-10 degrees most of the month here! 😂
