If you wanted to build the J7W2 variant, I feel like you could get away with using the bottom part of the V-stabs as skids if you're landing in grass and it's a mini-sized plane anyway. Those squared off-surfaces look like they'd be less prone to damage than the taller ones of the J7W1, and you could reinforce the edges at least with hot glue, if not also some barbecue skewers. The Pun Jet and Vector kind of have similar surfaces protruding below the wing and they seem to survive belly landings.

Thanks y’all! We just couldn’t seem to find a good solution by ourselves. Guess we will try this first and if it works….Yay! If not back to the drawing board.
