Just got the elevator and rudder control rods, landing gear and decorations to finish.

I have tried several times in the last month but FINALLY Managed to get my HAM license renewed today. WHY-O-WHY does it take logging in to two separate systems with two different IDs, but one password (not the same as the one associated with your FRN? You log in to ULS (Universal Licensing system) first, which wants to send you over to CORES rather than logging you in. You have to find the super secret web address to get to the ULS login page and log in with your FRN but the password to your CORES ID to apply for a renewal of your license. Once done, it will attempt to send you over to CORES to pay your bill, but the SSO (Single Sign On) will fail and you have to go back to the CORES login screen to log in to that system. There you can actually pay the fee. Can't wait till they add a third step by the time I have to renew in 10 years. LOL

Same here with the weather. 18-42 mph winds all week. Just gotta put the motor in mine and she's all done. It might be a short and exciting maiden flight. 😁

Drops down to 10mph on Wednesday and 8mph on Friday here😎....But otherwise its in the teens with rain or thunder storms!🤣

EDIT:Lower 50's into the 70 on one day😥 (Just checked again...I guess that one day of seventy blocked out all the other ones in my view! JK🤣🤣)

Making more progress on the Vega. The landing gear feels sturdier than it looks, it might survive the first landing if I find somewhere smooth. Hey, @Mr Man, I found the shop manual you've been looking for -

The Skyward is together but lacking electronics and trim.
It got the last of 2 coats of Polycrylic yesterday. But it will take me a few days yet to get the graphics made and applied, paint the windows, and install all the electronics. And the weather right now is not conducive to a test flight. But it is a lot further along than it was at the start of March, so that's a win in my book.

The Maiden is done. All things considered, it was mostly a success.

Wanted to really put it through its paces today, but Mother Nature had different plans. I did however locktite the wheel hubs. Lol. 😁
