This thing is going to come in just over 12 lbs. fully loaded (not including the payload aircraft). With a wing loading just under 1 lb/ft² if I did the math right. She should be a easy flyer to handle. Finished installing the Servos today, will work on the control rods and control horns pry tomorrow.

Haven't been able to work on anything for a while. Got the control rods and horns installed in both ailerons, and brass inserts for joining the two wing halves. Just the rods and horns in the rudder and elevator, landing gear, and decorations to go. If there is time, I might get the payload aircraft attachments done too (i might have to build the jet first to get the right fit), so we will see how it goes.

Finished the elevator and Rudder control rods and horns. Installed the landing gear. The rubber bands are just temporary, they will be replaced with some springs from a Twin Timber or maybe some throttle return springs. Then just need to slide the power pod in, hook up the receiver and she's ready to go.

She is done! Ran out of reflective tape at the end, but had enough to cover everything but the wing tips. As usual pics don't do these monsters any justice. She runs a 6s setup on a 5065 400kv motor with a 19x8 propeller, and a 80amp esc. Hopefully I will get a break in the weather to maiden her in the next couple days.

Yea I'll let my buddy fly it. It should be easy flyer. If he doesn't feel comfortable landing, he can just do circles till I land and take over. I put a old spektrum reciever from a Turbo Timber that had a rapid unscheduled disassembly, so It will even have safe mode if needed.

Speaking of maiden flights.....
I just snuck mine in. With the lousy weather forecast for most of us how about extending the deadline for flights as long as the projects were completed on time?
Second this. Gonna try to get my maiden in this evening, but it's pretty windy now. Rain in the forcast for the next two days here too.
