Yeah, when @nerdnic tested it with a 5x6 (or a prop close to that) on 6s it was pulling around 1500w of power!

With a bit over a week to go till the end of the competition and a top speed just shy of 200 mph now in the books from Mad Monkey, I feel like I need to up my game. So, the Rapier is getting an upgrade to a 90mm size - on paper it should be easily able to push 200 mph too, but I don't know if there's time to finish it, or if it will actually go that fast.

Blink and you'll miss it - literally - had to rewind the video since the first time I watched it I didn't see any airplane. That thing is very fast

Mine went ok. However i noticed a few build errors. Liek the tail need to be parallel with the wings, not tilted. And the rudder on center. Either way, it flew slick but problemed (see build mention) so full tilt wasn’t exactly possible.
It showed promise. After some good runs i was trying to fix some trim, and ended up downing it in the tobacco. Only a little worse than this other plane which stopped suspended in the “canopy”
After picking it up i noted that nothing was damaged at all. Then hand launched it. Where is got a little down-field lost control and then straight nose-in to the neatly mowed runway.
While it is worth rebuilding, it may not be possible this month. A solid “we’ll see”.
I am not even sure the power train could get it to over 100mph (my personal goal).
While i have a setup to do it (2307 1800kv 6S), it isn’t free.
I have to dig up my plans. They are similar to my Bandito i think.

Get rid of parasitic drag wherever you can, put a hot high kv motor on, and send it!
