I missed, and he is still lurking. I blasted this whole place with Demon WP recently, he should be dead :cautious:

I was gonna say you should see how much the questionable battery (at 187mph) puffed up. I'm gonna have to retire those two soon...

👍🏻

I've learned my lesson... at that speed even with colors you think will pop, these little guys get small in a hurry. I cut the throttle and headed straight up after a pass and still made it to "questionable" heights 🤣
The best colors to use are yellow, black(in between) and red.
When pylon race is over at that speed, we immediately are asked to kill engine(there is no throttle) and climb vertical to bleed speed and do a 1/2 roll and then nose over(25 to 35mph) so you can set up for your circular glide pattern to deadstick it in. Depending on which plane you have, it was in the neighbor hood of 600 to 700ft high. By the way, a 10 lap race (3 pylons) gave the best time of 59.3 secs.

Got my own runs in today with the Super Duper Sabre, although nowhere near as fast as MadMonkey's - still 150 mph is nothing to sniff at.
Here's the video of my fastest pass (I'm assuming since it was the only speed pass I did downwind).

And here's a slightly slower pass where you can see the plane a bit better:

Unfortunately, this is likely to be the best I can do with Super Duper Sabre in time for this competition. One of the main gear didn't come down again this flight and this time the belly landing didn't go as well since it hit something hiding in the grass, so there's pretty extensive damage to fix. That said, I doubt it has too much more speed in it at this point - this flight had working gear doors, so it was pretty much as streamlined as it's going to get.

I'm thinking maybe September 20th. (that would be ideal imo) @Houndpup Rc
hmm... after discussing with AI, I'm not sure what I got in mind would even break 100, unless I go with Kph. 🤔 Maybe not. I'm certainly not going to reach 150. 200 is right-out.

Unless I can talk some Air Force boys into yeeting it out the back of a transport and straight into the jet stream. Then 300 is on the table. 😁

FPV is okay, and we just won't tell the FAA about the altitude, right?🤔
