Is the EZ power pack receiver compatible with Edge TX? in other words, is the protocol for the receiver known?

Yes if you have a multiprotocol transmitter. if you look at the BNF version without the transmitter they list the protocol as: multiprotocol transmitter using protocol GD00X sub version GDV2
