$30 Drone?

$30 can buy a complete drone set that actually works. Amazing to me what's available for toys.

Having said that, I recall a harbor freight P51 for $12 that was excellent and robust and sold out in a week never to return

It is now $10. I guess the Chinese are dumping in Mexico. It's a toy, and so I'm not critical of the performance.

I'm 66 yo. This $10 represents $1.27 in 1967 dollars. In 1967 I received a very high quality toy. A one chanel R/C car. That car probably cost $200 or more in todays dollars.

I bought a mini Estes drone probably 10 years ago that was smaller than a Tiny Whoop for about $30-40 and was shocked at how well it flew for the time. Even had USB charging.

I got a free drone at our local swap shop early in covid. kept me busy for a good part of lock down, and got me interested in rc again.
