3D Plane Motor Suggestions

I’m building my first 3D profile foam board plane from plans that say to use a Dynam Detrum 2810A KV810 motor. Unfortunately, the motor seems to be out of stock and generally unavailable. I thought I bought one on Amazon, but when it arrived from China it was a Detrum BM 3512-KV810.

Two questions:
1) Is the 3512 motor okay to use? It seems heavy.
2) Can anyone recommend a more commonly available motor for this plane?

Wing span is 30". And yes, it's an all foam board profile. Not being a 3D guy I'm assuming you want a motor with a low KV so you have plenty of torque to throw the plane around. Correct?

Yes you do. Power with the right prop, usually a slow fly prop. You don't go as fast but you have more pull. I've had a couple 3d foamies but the motors were smaller one of which was a 2210. It was a 24in plane though and was meant for more speed so it wasn't a hoverable type plane. There were a couple 810kv motors listed in rhe size you wanted so i just gave you a link to the whole page. At 1000kv you could probably use a 10x3.8 prop instead of a 10x4.7 so the performance would be close. All depends on what you want.😁😎

I fly alot of 32 inche EPP 3D foamies and use these motors.

These ESC`s

and these props

on these airplanes on 3S batteries more then enough power hovers at less then 1/2 throttle just so you might compare how close to yours.
