3D printed planes...Best place to source the files?

Hi All.

I have been building up to start a build for a while. I am looking at Depron but to my surprise scored a new FDM 3D printer on eBay the other day for a song. (Log story short...I was an early adopter of FDM but lost interest due to the issues and work/time needed to get anything from it. They have moved along a lot now and I have been for some time using a LCD UV resin printer successfully).

Before i had an FDM printer I would see 3D print this RC plane all over the place...Sods law, Now I have one I cant find a thing (More to the point I cant find the files through the noise of clickbait). It may be me not using the correct terminology but are there any recommendation's for sites, forums or locations of good models?

Eclipson’s designs are very carefully thought out for strength and weight, and the 3 models I’ve built fly great.

Have a look on aerofred.com. They have most of the 3d printed planes on there for download.

Eclipson has a free version of their model-A. Would be a good one to start with then progress from there.

That one is going to be my first 3d print. Looking forward to it. Finding quality free ones is a little more challenging. I found another one that looks interesting too, cant remember where I found it but its called the Northern Pike. I have the zip file for this if you cant find it yourself

Take a look at Lockey‘s designs on rcgroups. Most are paid but a few are free. He is doing some great things with lw-pla and spiral printing.

3Dareoventures just made thier plans free. https://www.3daeroventures.com/

Working on the mini x-100 now and I've downloaded the plans for the micro-sportcam for the next one.

If I could have done it again, I would have started with the sportcam as my first 3D printed plane. For some reason I always start out with the hardest thing possible.
