Fantastic Andre! It looked like it was a bit of a handful to fly. I'm in the middle of printing one right now. I'm hoping mine will turn out half as good as yours did!
Cheers
Dave.

I am sure you have a thread around here somewhere with the info, but what's the AUW? I know I saw that you are going to power it with a 3S 2200. I am using the same battery in my P-47. I actually had to add a little lead to the nose to get CG where I wanted it. I'm thinking a 4S setup, maybe 3000 mAh might do it, without the lead. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of hand launching, so we'll see how the P-47 does.... Yours looks like it flew well. A little expo on the elevator should really calm it down.

Andre, Now that you have some prints under your belt would you buy this same printer again? Problems? Major lessons learned? Thanks

For my first plane the fit and finish is not super but it flew.

It flew well enough.
780g without a battery.

780 grams is really light! Nice job printing to get that kind of weight. I apparently need to tweak some settings! I was in the suggested range for weight on my cowl, so I thought I was in the ball park. That spitfire would really cook on 6S!!!

On 6S, I think "Cooking" would be a very apt description:)

Very nice! What do you anticipate the "crash-ability" to be of one of those? They look to be on the fragile side is why I'm asking.

You are exactly right! I ran it through ecalc, the motor temps are through the roof! The amps are almost twice what the motor is rated for! Even 4S cooks the recommends motor. Pretty sure I'd burn the windings right out of it! 3S is as high as it can go without going over max amps.

If I can get the 3S setup to run nice I'm leaving it like that.
I have a very healthy batch of 3S 2200 25C packs so I could fly this plane all day long.

The next task for this plane is to sort the balance out and then start an endurance run.

Much like my old reliable FT Racer which survived a lot of punishment I'm very curious to see how long this plane will last.

I actually felt it was nose heavy.
I've removed some of the weights.

You power/battery setup is heavier then mine so you should be fine.
