Help! 3d printing hot wire templates

i just finished building a hot wire foam cutter and I'm wondering if anyone knows if 3d printing templates would work well

the most heat resistant filament I have is some bambu lab petg hf and im not too sure it will hold up

the most heat resistant filament I have is some bambu lab petg hf and im not too sure it will hold up

it will work. I used to make mines from regular PLA, it holds as long as you dont stop the hot wire at the same spot for more than a second. If you move the wire smooth you dont have to worry. One last thing, just use them only one time just in case they get deformed. If you want to you can apply over the edge of the template a piece of aluminum tape, it helps a lot too.
