That is a standard ANSI hatch pattern in AutoCAD. ANSI37 IIRC

If patterns are slow to process, It could be your system causing that.

I was actually having a hard time getting it to fill everything, it was just doing a corner, but then again I was trying to do a "remove paper" pattern.

That's a pattern that is data intensive. I had an older laptop that "argued" with it every time. I've always thought the pattern was a bit of overkill anyway. For myself, I mark those areas with an X. Far simpler.
