Hi everyone this is my 3rd ever thread and in my previous thread I designed a foamboard airplane that will hopefully go 200 mph +. Well I actually designed like 3 airplanes but thats besides the point but now im setting the stakes higher and going 400 mph+
here is the planes that I took some inspiration from
fastest-remote-controlled-jet-powered-model-aircraft-514923.jpg

and
maxresdefault.jpg

and last but not least

so I started designing mine a week ago but haven't been working consistently on it here is the basic design of the airframe

below im designing the airfoils this list a regular jet turbine rc plane although it can be......but for now this thing is gonna be powered my a insane solid rocket motor. The plane is gonna be made out of 2mm thick carbon fiber for now iv chosen carbon as it is very strong and is great for high speed rc planes...

currently for now what im doing other then designing this plane is trying to figure out is if I should use a jet turbine or a solid rocket motor...........

for carbon fiber im gonna use 0.25 thickness carbon and yes I know that I at least need like 1-2mm thickness carbon for the wings and fuselage and what im gonna be doing is using 6 sheets or 10 sheets of carbon on tom of each other to achieve that thickness im gonna od this cause I cant find 2mm thick carbon cloth anywhere

Power plant is the biggest thing for me right now I’m trying to decide between a solid rocket motor or jet turbine…..

Expect the turbine to be really pricey and a pain to deal with if it survives. An estes "F" rocket engine max thrust will lift 4 pound-ish for 5 seconds, but there are other purveyors including diy built motors with massive impulse amounts. If you don't mind the prop being supersonic, electronic motor will get you there, but big, heavy , expensive or really short powered flight....

Apparently amazon will sell you pretty much anything

ok jet turbine is no issue for me I can get my hands on one and for now I was considering a 55mm solid rocket engine and lets say I were to use a electric motor which one do I use ?

im probably gonna use a siwiwin 22kg thrust turbine to get me there or I can use a CESARONI 54-6GXL CLASSIC LONGBURN (K300) which is gonna be cheaper but I will have to buy a new motor every time I want to fly this plane sooo I might actually have to go with the jet turbine.....

the rocket motor is like 300 dollars alone and I cant reuse so I think the rocket motor might be a dumb idea
