Hi all,
I recently bought a new 450mah battery for powering a plane but the connector it came with is a BEC. It´s wires are smaller than other batteries. Is it ok to just solder a dean female connector to it?

Thanks for the help.

Just DO NOT CUT BOTH WIRES AT ONCE. Cut one, strip the insulation, solder on the Deans with heat shrink, then do the other wire.

I'm surprised they put a JST conector on that battery.
That battery is capable of out putting out 11.25 A (mAh / 1000 x C = A .... 450/1000x25 = 11.25). I thought JST's were only rated for 10 A.

It happens. I've got a couple 2s, 1000 mah batteries that have JST plugs on them. Granted, i only use them for my gliders, since they're mainly there to add weight/ballast for slope soaring; that doesn't really use much draw to power 2 servos. :)
