Actually, those mechanics were originally designed for a CH-47 Chinook fuselage. I had to modify them as I wanted something more unique, hence the Piasecki. I‘m surprised your are seeing 46s still flying. There aren’t too many left after the Marines retired and replaced them with V-22s.Oh man you HAVE to also make an alternate CH 46 fuselage for that tandem. We have a reserve squadron not far from me and they regularly fly over where I live. You KNOW what is in the air long before you see those beasties. There was actually two of them in the air in that video I made with the geese migrations a while back. You just could not see them with just the FPV camera.
That said, I’m still planning on modeling a Chinook someday. Will likely end up buying the Vario twin 700 kit, but it’s a healthy chunk of change. Got to see 3 of them fly at the Southern Scale Helicopter Challenge last year, and they are amazing!
