Finally figured out the flaps

Those flaps are sick! Whats the mechanism behind them? It looks like they extend as well as hinge downwards?

It's just a simple hinge mechanism

I used a sketch with a circular pattern to line it up properly in the cad

The pivot point of the hinge is fixed to 3 projections of the flap that are constrained to slide along the upper surface of the trailing edge

I don't think these servos are powerful enough to handle the landing gear

I guess I'll have to keep them locked open or use one standard size servo for both

So much for "shut off at 3.5v"

I almost fried a battery because one of the escs allowed the voltage to drop past 3v without cutting power

Now that I think about it, it won't be ideal to drive all the way to flite fest in one piece so I'm gonna leave the tail section off until then

and then I fixed it and crashed it again, I don't think this thing has any roll authority even with the Inboards right in the airflow from the engines

well the wind didn't help either

I’m surprised it didn’t have roll authority. Those outer ailerons are way out there. Maybe it just never got above stall speed?

I hope you try again! We need more nice looking airliners models out here. I saw you at FF when you were attempting to take off from the bumpy cloth runway. Better luck next time!

The wing is still fully intact, but I don't think I'll be building another one. One edf's fan shattered in the crash, and I'm just about to go to college so I probably won't have much time after drawing up and releasing the plans.
