Since the last Flite Fest, I've been thinking about designs for a better combat wing for FF '25. Since my last wing had its fins damaged during combat, I started experimenting with finless wings and drag rudder yaw control shortly after the 2nd prototype of this combat wing. The newest iteration, v3, boasts a 72in wing (with 3d printed wingtip extensions), removable wing sections, and dual use drag rudders that can be used for yaw control and braking. Since my FF '24 wing took so much time to assemble, I decided upon a much simpler Flite Test style airfoil and box spar system.

She might just be over the max takeoff weight for this one....
You could have a couple vertical motors on the wing tips to help lift it off the ground....Man if you hit anyone I think they would probably get knocked around a bit! (You could install a ejection seat so when you get knocked out of the sky she will make it down safe!) lol

I actually was thinking to put an emergency parachute system for when I lose radio signal or lose track of it in combat, but it would be difficult to fit enough surface area inside of the wings

I liked the design last year where parchutes had strings hanging out the back of a plane. When other plane flew through them, they would get tangled in the prop, pull out and the other plane ended up parchuting down.

pieliker's combat wings are actually what inspired me to design this one
