I finally got around to printing and installing the wingtips, hopefully they provide a meaningful increase in efficiency

Hope it flew ok! I’m getting ready to maiden mine but nervous about fully experimental planes because it’s my first time building one 3D printed from scratch.

Any tips for flying wings would be greatly appreciated!

I almost flew my flying wing with a tail heavy CG! Thankfully I referred to the Versa wing build video and skipped to the CG part which answered my question about CG.

I've found wings to be much simpler and more stable, as long as the cg isn't tail heavy and you're good with bank and yank flying.

Idunno, looks to be too many fiddley moving parts to do combat, or at least what I did. Does it work with intentional failures of 2or more controls?

The wing is decently yaw-stable already, but the airbrakes do give it more stability at lower speeds.
Footage is coming soon, and I'll also record during the combats at flite fest.
the roll issue was fixed by just allowing the airbrakes to act as elevons instead of rudders (it was useless anyway)

The tip elevon sets could be set up as drag brakes with a touch more of up, but you trend towards tip stall which may or may not be a desired option or even a 3way mix with rudder channel in addition to aileron and elevator
