Right,(I hope that it retires from old age though. lol) I want a power house that will work well with both. The 3548 weighs 59grams more than the 3536 so I might start having balance problems as Nerdnic pointed out.
Yep, and that’s the problem

Why Don‘t you do the 3536 1800kv prop drive and just scale down the Corsair when it comes to it?
Hmmmm. That's not a bad idea! I will have to think on it. I like the handling characteristics of bigger planes and when my mini Mustang retires I was thinking of scaling the corsair down and using my 2306 2400kv motor in that so....

@nerdnic Can the 800 series spitfire handle a 10x10 prop without any issues?
I don't think so. I haven't tried it but 10x is what I run on my full size 1000-1200mm planes (3548 1100kv) and the torque is pretty rough. On 800mm it would be too much.

Just keep in mind that the 3536 on 800mm is already a BEAST. You have to pair it with a 4s 2200 50c+ and the whole plane ends up basically a flying brick. Adding any extra weight is dicey IMO. You can run the prop drive 3536 on the bigger planes too, but you'll have to pitch down to prop up - maybe a 8x6. The larger planes really do better with a 10x though, you get a better throttle feel with the increased torque. Makes the flying experience better since you have more control, but maybe that's just me.

Think I will do the 3542 with a 7x9 or 7x10 or maybe even a 7x11 prop. Thanks for your guys input!

Hey Nerdnic, how would the 3536 1800kv motor work a the master series Corsair unscaled? I saw the video when you used that motor in the FT Mustang and it moved just fine!

So I just ordered this motor! I was thinking about it and my esc doesn't come in until mid February or early march (It was from china) so I can use this motor for the NN series and if I want a bigger motor I can get one then because it will be at least a month before I would need it anyway, so it won't over shoot my budget! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

That way I will know for sure that it will go fast and will balance fine. I can always scale down the Corsair if necessary.

Does this look good for a prop?

I see what you mean! lol Think I might order both and do a thrust test, and check how the motor likes it. if I can spin a 7x8 I can spin a 10x5 and that should be fine for the corsair.
Remember, the 7x8 won't have as much thrust, but more airspeed, it's like 3rd gear vs 5th gear, 3rd has better acceleration, but 5th will have a higher top speed.
