I have built several FT design Sea Otters. I always found them to be an under powered plane. We only fly them off of snow. I thought putting an EDF on one would improve it's capabilities. Started with a 70mm 4s which was a great improvement. But of course since I had and 80mm laying around, why not. I have modified it a little but it is very close to the original design.
