80mm scratch built Vampire in progress

I have been scratch building in composite, balsa and foam since the late 80's. I recently built this 70 mm 4 s Yak 17 using Flitetest foam. It flies very well. Now I'm starting a 80mm Vampire using my laser cutter making a balsa internal structure to be covered in foam and finished with silk span and polyurethane floor sealer.

I forgot I had this thread. Some pictures in various stages. I brought the plane home from the my studio to do the fine detailing, weathering and panel lines. It's ready to fly but not until its finished.
