Problem: To take my A Certificate for model flying I need a plane that can take off and land from the ground and has to weigh more than a kilogram.
Answer: I got gifted a suitable plane - a Seagull Models Swift 40 by the flying club secretary.
Challenge: It's not in exactly a great state! So I'm planning of stripping the aircraft and completly recovering it. Have I bitten off more than I can chew?

Damn that's an ugly plane, I hope you're not planning to recreate the scheme ;) I've never covered a plane myself, but it doesn't look too difficult, just be sure to get some extra covering :)

Ugly indeed! I plane is to do it up in pure white, add some simple graphics, get my certificate and then....to donate it to the flying club for other learners.

Covering is not too hard. Just take your time. There's a lot of builders here that can help if you get stuck. Do some test pieces first, and don't get the iron too hot!
