A plane that can reverse flight midair

Quad ESCs can sometimes support reversing throttle. With a software like Beta Flight it could be programmed. Also, it could have a full flying stab elevon which would then turn into a canard. There are also some symmetrical propellers. This is probably impossible, but that makes it more fun!

I've seen people use ESC "3D" mode on planes. Mostly for reverse thrust, AKA "air brakes" on landing. I think reversing flight direction in air would be quite a challenge.
