A simple Scout Question

I'm extremely new to the whole FliteTest world. So far the only kit I have built is a Mini Explorer; and now I'm thinking that the next plane I would like to tackle is the Simple Scout. However, I don't think I'm ready for ailerons yet. Will a Simple Scout work if you only set it up initially for a rudder and elevator? I think I would like to try that first and then later add the ailerons. P.S. I know I could go the Mini Scout route, but I'm thinking I would like something a little larger.

Agreed, ths SS will be fine as rudder & elevator.

I would not be afraid of ailerons. If you use the lower rate recommend, there's not much difference. It's only when you use higher throws that you will notice a difference. I recommend beginners start with a 4 channel plane.

Me too! Especially if you don't get everything tuned just right and will be flying in more than just a slight wind. In fact by brother found that planes without ailerons are harder to fly than with!
