Protection Your Wings
Something Chris showed me last year at Flite Fest.
He recommended using some foil covering to protect the wings during transport.
So last night on the way home from work I stopped in at my local Home Depot and picked up some 12"x25' heating duct wrap. Costs $24.00.
I suggest using the 16"x25' material to give the wing a little more wiggle room.
The build procedure is very easy.
Simply lay out the roll with a fold at the end.
Apply some hot glue and packing tape along the seams.
At the top I left it open with a flap so there is less pressure on the wing tip curve.
There is enough material to do the both Radian Wings and I plan on making a full length cover for my FunCub's wing just for the Flite Fest trip. After that I'll cut it into 2 pieces.
Cheap investment to protect those wings.
