Advice on filler material for foam?

I've recently been working on a new project with a covering technique of lining the fuselage with strips of delaminated foam. This, of course, is not perfect and I'd like to know what would be the best solution to filling the cracks for future sanding and finishing. Any advice?

Yep! Light weight spackling is the stuff you want.

I like to use 220 grit paper for this. It sands very easily.
