So. After the recent death of my 2nd scratch build, I have decided to design and build my own plane. I'm kind of using a wing design from this guy. However, I'm modifying it because my foam board is too small to make the wing the full length. So now it has gone from a wingspan of 140 cm to 100 cm. I'll put up the front, top and side views and soon coming are the plans.

Here are the "beta" plans! I'm still working on the motor mount. Also, does anyone know how to measure the distance on the curve edge? Pic is below for the non-imagination centred mind.

That one looks a good design, flying Kelpie, very flyable. Lots of dihedral, should be good! And the first looked repairable to me. The joy of foam board and foam! Did you see the mess and mangle of my twin boom Lidl conversion after one too many crashes. Back in one piece now.

Really? What should I do with the nose breakage?
Do you use a hot glue gun? Mine was only £6 or £7 . So quick. 2 mins and it's set. I've repaired real wrecks with mine! You can butt join busted foamboard and put a doubler inside, (or outside if there's no room inside) and it's probably stronger that it was before!

You can use a bendy ruler or if you're working in CAD, you can take a bunch of little measurements and add them all up.
If you were working in AutoCad you would combine the two lines and the arc into a polyline and it tells you the length.
Or using geometry gives you the exact length, if that's a simple arc I'm looking at. It's 1/4 of the circumference. Geometry is your friend!
