Alula Trek Sloping in Coupeville WA

This was my first time slope soaring. My parents live on a small hill on Penn Cove near Coupeville WA and every time I visit, there are hawks and eagles soaring over the hill when the wind is coming from the south. I bought the Alula Trek to try and join them and this was the first time I was able to do it. I had some unsuccessful flights before this one and I still have a lot to learn but I think I did ok and had a blast!

EDIT: The quality seems bad right now. I'm going to wait until YouTube allows for the HD version and then I'll put the link back.

EDIT: Apparently, the quality just sucks lol. Here's the video.

Nice! It looks like an eagle flying around. You may want to turn up expo, it will smooth out your control inputs and turn smoother. I need to work on my expo too.

Some of that was the wind. Having that hawk up there showed me just how bad at it I was lol. It was ROCK SOLID it turbulent, gusty winds. Reminds me that birds that soar will be far better at it than I ever will be!

Ya, I didn't think about you being in the wind...duh, soring requires wind. That would explain the jerky banking. But who am I to make comments about that, I can barely fly and am just glad to get my planes down in one piece.
