In another thread concerning 'where you buy your cheap foam' I said I would post some pics when I start building the 540 edge from FT plans but using 6mm foam that I found on Amazon. This is my second build from an FT Plan with foam board, the first was the FT storch but the foam board was not of a good quality and had a plastic type non flexible covering, instead of paper.
The 6mm foam board is with paper covering on both sides & is flexible allowing clean folds, whilst buiding I found it stiffer than the FT foamboard though..
Pic 7, 8 & 9 show the rear fuselage fabrication, the underside of the front fuselage is made by scoring the fold lines and leaves a nice rounded edge, the rear fuselage is made with a B fold and leaves a nice sharp edge but with the 6mm foam it sticks out alot (pic 9) at the front corners where it joins the front underside fuselage, with FT foam board in the build video the difference is almost negligable.
I am going to rebuild the rear fuselage but score the fold and try to get a nice rounded edge to match up with the front.
